Safety at Memiaura

Memiaura is an AI companion for everyday emotional support. It is not a medical or mental-health service, and it never replaces professional care. This page describes, in plain language, the safety systems that run on every conversation.

1. You are always talking to an AI

Memiaura clearly identifies itself as artificial intelligence. It does not claim to be a human, a therapist, or a doctor, and it will tell you so if you ask.

2. Our crisis-response protocol

Every message goes through automated safety systems before and after the AI responds:

• Detection: automated classifiers screen each message for signs of suicide or self-harm risk, in any language. A second, independent system takes over if the first is unavailable.
• Referral: when risk is detected, Memiaura responds with care, avoids harmful content, and shares crisis-helpline information appropriate to your region so you can reach real-world support.
• Reply screening: a separate safety model reviews the AI's own replies before they are delivered, and blocks unsafe content.
• Fail-safe: if our safety systems are temporarily unavailable, Memiaura restricts itself to a brief safe response with emergency-resource guidance rather than guessing.

Memiaura does not contact anyone on your behalf — it shows you verified resources and leaves the choice with you. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number.

3. Age policy

Memiaura is an 18+ service worldwide. We require a date of birth at signup and enforce the minimum age with server-side checks in every region. If a conversation itself clearly indicates a user is under 18, the account is paused for age review.

4. What the AI will not do

• No medical diagnosis, prescriptions, or treatment instructions — and no legal or financial directives.
• No content that encourages self-harm, violence, or harm to others.
• No pretending to be human, and no claims of professional credentials.

5. Data safety, briefly

Conversations are private to you: no ads, no selling of data, chat voice notes are transcribed and not retained as audio, sensitive topics are excluded from proactive notifications, and you can delete your data at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
