At Memiaura (operated by JSYS Technologies), we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Memiaura, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the Memiaura mobile app (iOS and Android), we may collect:

• Account Information: Your name, phone number (verified via a one-time passcode sent over WhatsApp or SMS), preferred language, time zone, and your companion's name and personality settings.
• Conversation Data: Messages you send to your companion, including text and voice notes (transcribed in real time via our speech-to-text provider; chat voice audio is stored encrypted so your voice message stays playable in the conversation, and is deleted with your account). This data powers Adaptive Memory and the Aura mood experience.
• Mood & Wellbeing Data (Aura): Emotional states detected from conversations, moods you log, Breathe wellbeing exercise activity, and engagement streaks.
• Vault Data: Passwords, notes, or sensitive information you store in your PIN-protected Vault. This data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
• Legacy & Trustees: Messages you write for loved ones to be delivered later, and the trusted people (trustees) you designate to confirm delivery. Message content is encrypted at rest.
• Reminders & Celebrations: Reminder text, dates, recipients, and any custom wishes you schedule for future delivery.
• Relationships (Family): Information you choose to share about the people in your life.
• Device & Security Data: Push notification tokens (so we can deliver notifications), active session and login history, and basic anomaly signals used to protect your account.
• Usage Data: Interaction timestamps and feature usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Memiaura experience:

• To remember your conversations, preferences, and personal context (Adaptive Memory).
• To sense mood patterns and offer personalized wellbeing support (Aura, Breathe exercises).
• To securely store and retrieve your Vault items.
• To deliver your reminders, celebrations, and legacy messages at the right time.
• To generate insights about your mood and activity inside the app.
• To send opt-in nudges and check-ins based on your activity patterns.

3. Data We Never Collect or Share

• We never sell your personal data to third parties.
• We never use your conversations to train AI models.
• We never share your data with advertisers.
• We never access your Vault or PIN-protected content without your PIN.
• We do not read your other phone data, messages, or media. Your device contacts are only ever accessed when you explicitly pick a contact, and the selection happens on your device.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-leading security measures to protect your data:

• AES-256-GCM Encryption: Sensitive data (Vault items, legacy and sensitive messages) is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
• Transport Security: All data in transit is protected via TLS.
• PIN Protection: Your Vault and other sensitive features require a user-set PIN for access.
• Encrypted Vector Storage: Conversation memories used for recall are stored as vector embeddings, not as raw browsable text.
• Session & Access Controls: Multi-device session limits with the ability to review and revoke active sessions, plus strict role-based access to production systems.

5. Data Retention & Your Control

Your data is retained as long as your Memiaura account is active. You are in control of it directly from the app:

• Export: Download your chat history as JSON from Settings → Data & account.
• Reset: Clear your conversation history at any time.
• Delete all data: From Settings → Data & account. Vault items are immediately and irreversibly destroyed; conversation memories are permanently deleted within 30 days; scheduled reminders, celebrations, and legacy messages are cancelled and deleted.

Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained for service improvement.

6. Third-Party Services

Memiaura relies on the following third-party services:

• WhatsApp Business API / Twilio: For one-time passcode delivery and outbound notifications. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
• AI Language Model Providers (e.g. Groq, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI): For generating responses. Your messages are sent for real-time processing but are not stored by them for training.
• Deepgram: For voice note transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and not stored by Deepgram.
• Expo / Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging: For delivering push notifications.
• Infrastructure providers (Supabase, Upstash, Qdrant): For encrypted data storage and processing on our behalf.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the Memiaura app.
• Export your data as JSON.
• Delete your data at any time from Settings.
• Opt out of nudges and proactive check-ins.
• Withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Memiaura is an 18+ service worldwide. We require your date of birth at signup and enforce a minimum age of 18 in every region through server-side checks — underage accounts cannot access companion chat. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, we will disable the account and delete its data in accordance with this policy.

9. International Users

Memiaura is available in multiple regions, including Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Your data may be processed in accordance with the laws applicable to your region. By using Memiaura, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Memiaura after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
