Delete Your Data

You own your data. You can delete your Memiaura account and the personal data we hold about you at any time, without contacting support and without giving a reason. This page explains both ways to do it and what happens after.

1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)

This is the quickest route and takes effect immediately:

• Open the Memiaura app and go to More → Settings.
• Choose Delete account.
• Confirm when prompted. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you only want to clear your conversation history and keep your account, Settings also offers Delete chat history as a separate action.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in — for example you have lost access to your phone number — email privacy@memiaura.com from any address and include the phone number registered to the account. We may ask you to verify ownership of that number before we act, so that nobody else can delete your data.

We action verified requests within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes the personal data tied to it, including:

• Your profile — name, phone number, language, time zone and companion settings.
• Your conversations, including stored voice notes and their transcripts.
• Adaptive Memory — everything your companion learned about you and the people you mentioned.
• Mood and Aura history, Breathe exercise activity and streaks.
• Vault entries, your Master PIN and its recovery state.
• Legacy messages, the trustees you designated and their verification records.
• Reminders, Occasions and any scheduled deliveries that have not yet been sent.
• Relationships you recorded under Family.
• Health & Wellness data — cycle, readiness, training, nutrition, body and step records.
• Diary entries and chapters.
• Push notification tokens, active sessions and login history.

4. What we keep, and why

A small amount of information survives deletion because we are required to keep it or because it is no longer about you:

• Security and audit logs — records that an action occurred (for example a login or a deletion request), retained to detect abuse and to prove we honoured your request. These are minimised and do not contain your conversations.
• Aggregated, anonymised statistics — counts and totals that cannot be linked back to you or any individual.
• Records we must keep by law — for example billing records where a payment was made, kept for the period the relevant law requires.

Backups are rotated on a fixed schedule. Data already written to a backup is erased when that backup expires, within 30 days.

5. Deleting messages you sent to other people

Some Memiaura features deliver messages to people other than you — a birthday wish to a family member, or a Legacy message to a recipient you chose. Once such a message has been delivered, it exists on the recipient's device and we can no longer recall it. Deleting your account cancels every scheduled delivery that has not yet been sent.

6. WhatsApp

We use WhatsApp only to send login verification codes and the reminders and alerts you set up in the app. Deleting your account stops all of it. Messages already delivered to your WhatsApp remain in your own WhatsApp history, which is under your control, not ours — you can delete them from within WhatsApp at any time.
